Turn attention into a relationship.

Plan an audience workflow around an existing signup service, useful messages and clear expectations.

Start with a specific invitation

Describe what subscribers will receive and how often. A newsletter about new releases is more concrete than a generic request to join a list.

Link to your existing signup form

Add your email provider’s hosted form as a destination. Own Bio Link does not currently collect subscribers or provide a CRM. Keep subscriber records in your existing service.

Keep subscriber data separate

Do not put subscriber details in public profile text or page downloads. Use your provider’s subscription and unsubscribe controls, and review applicable privacy requirements before collecting data.

Illustrative workflow

Example: an author inviting readers to a newsletter

The problem

“Join my list” does not explain why someone should subscribe.

A clearer route

Use “Get new chapter previews” and send visitors to your existing email provider’s signup page. Describe the content and frequency there.

Try it step by step

  1. Write a specific subscription invitation.
  2. Use the hosted form from your current email service.
  3. Test confirmation and unsubscribe handling in that service; Own Bio Link is only the link.
